Welcome Dr. Sam Atlasi

The Dental Specialists is excited to welcome periodontist, Dr. Sam Atlasi!

Dr. Atlasi is practicing at our Blaine-South and Forest Lake locations. In 2016, Dr. Atlasi graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of California Los Angeles. In 2022, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. And in 2025, he obtained his Certificate in Periodontics from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. 

Dr. Atlasi is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, and International Team for Periodontology. "I chose periodontics as my specialty because of its unique blend of precision and artistry. The field truly represents a fusion of both science and art, allowing me to apply my skills in a way that is both technically challenging and creatively rewarding," said Dr. Atlasi. One of the most fulfilling aspects of periodontics for him is the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with his patients while witnessing the transformative results of treatment in a relatively short time. He finds it incredibly gratifying to see the positive impact on his patients’ oral health and overall well-being. 

Outside of the office, he loves immersing himself in nature through hiking and biking or simply spending quality time with friends. On days when he is in more of an "indoorsy" mood, he often enjoys a good game of chess. He has a strong passion for discovering new flavors, so he is always on the lookout for new restaurants to try. Additionally, he enjoys exploring new places—whether it's through spontaneous road trips or traveling to unfamiliar destinations whenever he gets the chance. Every opportunity to explore or experience something new excites him!
