Dr. Juhlin was gentle, but very firm that I needed to see an endodontist for a root canal. She had made a referral for me for a root canal 2 or 3 months ago, but I had yet to follow thru. I was glad to get the impetus from Dr. Juhlin and front desk staff to go ahead and get this done.

The Dr. Was great in explaining exactly what the process would be for my treatment plan. I was very impressed that she wanted to talk with my dentist to make sure they were on the same page about what could potentially be happening with my treatment plan. Again, the dr. Was also extremely friendly, courteous, and easy to talk to. I would highly recommend to family and friends.

It seemed like the orthodontist was focused on aesthetics more than my quality of life. My teeth are straight but I have lifelong uncomfortable issues related to my jaw and I felt dismissed immediately because she seemed focused solely on the fact that my smile wouldn't see much improvement. She did at least confirm that my X-rays showed that my jaw isn't correctly formed, which at least means my concerns were valid.

Truly a terrible experience. The staff was nice enough but my needs as a patient were not met and I was made to feel like my teeth were not well taken care of (despite 4 years prior of orthondotic care and regular dentistry care)I would not recommend and will not be coming back. I will share this experience with my providers at Park Dental and maybe they can recommend a different provider if services like this are needed in the future.

She seemed very caring, but she spent a lot of time talking, saying she'd "meet us where we're at", yet didn't give us much of a chance to ask questions to find out where we're at. This was our chance to gather information, and I was only able to ask a couple of questions. The Orthodontist promoted engagement. The hygienist was very good in the prep for the orthodontist. Wasn't there for cleaning etc but mentioned she could see my teeth were well taken care.

It felt kind of rushed once the doctor came. I am sure it was a routine appointment and they were trying to move people quickly through. By I was curious to hear more about where my daughter was at in the treatment and what was coming next. She said maybe she would be getting the bottom braces on at the next appointment, and have a me a few rushed answers to my questions, but gave me cues that she needed us to move along and that there really wasn't time for questions. It was a little off putting.

The language and tone used when explaining treatment options was demeaning. Using words like "I want to educate you on..." assumes that I don't already understand what is happening in my orthodontic care and made me feel like I was being talked down to. Using phrases like "Here's what I observe" or "Have you noticed this about your teeth" would feel much more open-ended and respectful. Being offered the option to purchase retainers also felt much like a sales pitch and had nothing to do with why I was there for the appointment. While I realize this allows you to feel like you are providing the best possible care, to the patient it may feel like you are selling something and overlooking the real reason for the visit.

The options I was given by the orthodontist were both relatively invasive treatments (surgery, removing teeth). I only found out about an orthodontics-only option after I proactively inquired about it. It was then explained to me that this would meet most of my needs and take less time, cost less and not require surgery or teeth pulling. While the orthodontist was helpful, I would have appreciated it if this orthodontics-only option was included in the list of options given by the orthodontist without me having to ask.

Dr. Juhlin is always thorough and clear. She is deliberate in the manner in which she asks if we have questions or concerns. iI haven't had many but everything about her manner suggests I could ask and get thorough answers to anything I needed. She is professional and conveys expert care and concern but remains approachable and friendly.

You are the third specialist we've seen regarding orthodontia, yet the only one who explained to us exactly why my son needed braces, and answered all of my questions instead of rushing me out.
