There wasn't anything to discuss or decide. He used the word "wiggle" in explaining what he was going to do instead of "pull" or some other scarier word. I really liked that word. It reminded me of the decision to rename labor pains as contractions. Words matter.

The dental team did amazing work. I got quite at one point when getting needle in my hand, and the lady asked if I was okay. They talked to me up until I fell asleep. The price of the treatment was WAY cheaper than what I have herd people say they paid. I have already recommended a few people to go where I did. Thank you Dental Specialist!

I felt heard about my concerns about my wisdom teeth. And was able to get them out without any issues. From what people have told me, I was nervous getting them removed, but the team did an AMAZING job and I have had no issues with post treatment. I have been told, that I have done very well with all of it. I say the dental team did amazing work. Making post surgery a breeze!

Dr. Karban worked us into his schedule on short notice because my daughter was having pain with her tooth, we are forever grateful. Dr. Karban is clearly a talented surgeon, but he is also a very kind person. He explained what might happen during the surgery to me, but then turned to my daughter with special needs and explained everything to her in a way she understood making her feel calm and at ease. Both Dr. Karban and his dental assistant talked her through every step of the surgery, things could not have went any better. My daugher had no problems after the surgery and only had to take one dose of advil! They called the next day to check on her. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Karban and his team to anyone who needs surgical care, they are absolutely the best!

I really enjoyed my visit as far as how much you can enjoy an "extraction." Dr. Carbon is a wonderful doc and I appreciate him greatly, My last extraction about a month ago was extremely painful, this one there was no issue at all, only took Tylenol twice and the next day was totally uneventful.

My biggest criticism and disappointment is the lack of after care. Very limited information was provided and follow up calls were handled courteously, but dismissively - to the degree that it led to a follow up visit and call to my regular doctor

I will never go to a different clinic again! After being on the phone for 4 hours calling different clinics for emergency availability, this is the only establishment that seemed to care about us as human beings. It meant a lot to me! The scheduler was an angel and so supportive and helpful! She called around all your locations to fit my son in for an emergency visit. My son got in that same day with great service. We are very impressed!

Dr. Karban is amazing! I was pretty apprehensive to have my upper wisdom teeth removed because I had several issues when I had my lower ones done by a different doctor in a different practice. Dr. Karban's calm demeanor, thoroughness of discussing the procedure, and answering any questions had me walking out of the consult confidently. He extracted the teeth today and I was amazed how quickly and painlessly I was in and out of the office! He's amazing and I highly recommend him!

this is a very stressful appt. I knew I had to have my tooth pulled I I didn't know what to expect, anticipate pain etc. . the doctor and the nurse were very nice did a good job of explaining my options and the plan . the problem is I was getting so much info so quickly that I forgot what I needed to know for my future dental plan. I got 6 sheets about how much it was going to cost and only one brief sheet after pulling care ( I was told a lot more about do and don't I hope I remembered enough of them) beyond that I am on my own. I feel I don't really know what an implant looks like, what I need to know about the risks/benefits, i forgot the time line. I wish there could be a sheet that actually had info about my implant plan

i appreciated the time the the doctor spent with me explainng things. The patient, however, (my 17-year-old daughter), felt that the doctor ignored her and instead focused completely on me, her father. I'm sure there are good reasons for this, but she did feel a bit slighted. (She is, after all, a teenager)

Dr. Karban is excellent at explaining what he is doing and calming any anxiety I might be feeling. Saying things like "you will feel a tiny pinch" or "you will feel some pressure but not pain" or "I gave you extra Novocain were all helpful in getting me to relax. He is an excellent communicator!

During my consultation, the doctor was very patient and thorough when I asked questions about the procedure. During the actual procedure, he was really only there to pull out my wisdom teeth and then left quickly. He didn't really tell me what he was doing either, which alarmed me. However, he was very keen in noticing when I was in pain. The aftercare instructions outlined in the brochure also had some discrepancies based on what the nurse had told me--i.e. the syringe use, salt water rinses, and gargling for example. Still, the nurse was kind and patient when answering my questions and telling me what was going on.

He do not listen as we tried to explain a condition that affects my daughter (and husband) he didn't hear a word we said, talked over us trying to convince us we are wrong. the exact same experience my husband has faced for yrs with dentists and now I fear my dtr will have the same problem. I don't care what you think you know to be true, to be a excellent care giver you need to HEAR your patients.

Dr. Karban put my daughter at ease and spoke directly to her as well as ask if I (mother) had questions or concerns. It's common that doctors will speak directly to parents instead of the child and both my daughter and I were particularly pleased that Dr. Karban spoke directly to my daughter.
