My first visit to the Blaine office - the dentist simply told me I should have an implant. He did not go over the pros and cons of the other options. He also told me I had a crack in my tooth but did not offer to show me the x-ray, for which I paid $250 out of pocket for.

The whole process was pretty quick. The dentist was very kind and calm and confident, but I didn't receive an extensive explanation of what the surgery was going to be or the after care. It is likely that my dad was given more information, and I was given a pamphlet as well. I wish I had known a bit more what to expect since I am now not sure if the pain and symptoms I am experiencing are to be expected or indicative of a problem.

The dental assistant was VERY accommodating to my requests. I wish I remembered her name. I needed the numbing agent without Epinephrine, I listened to my music on headphones - which were kind of big, and requested laughing gas. I felt like I was being demanding, however, the assistant did not make me feel demanding at all. She was very accommodating. Dr. Davis was also very accommodating to take a break when I asked or answer my questions. He took the time to review the area in my mouth to make sure the procedure would actually be successful.

As a senior on Medicare it is hard to find Dental care that is covered by my insurance. I called my insurance and got 4 Oral surgeons with in 50 miles. I have given this information to my Dentist office to help others with a big recommendation for Dr. Davis at Dental Specialists.

I was there for an implant consult, and dr. spent a lot of minutes up front talking about a flipper, bridge, etc. and that's not what I was there for. Once the implant was addressed, there was a lot of information to digest. And even more to digest when the plan and estimate was received.

Post op instructions varied greatly depending on the source (assistant while walking out the door, written information, assistance I spoke with when I called in with a questions/concern). Please give the post-op information to parents earlier so they can have all items on hand. Getting when you have a child in pain and then have to stop for multiple things is not helpful

I would have liked to know that there was a possibility the procedure would last longer than anticipated. I realize that sometimes things don't go as planned, but I ended up having a 3 hr procedure when I was told to expect about 1 hr when scheduling my appointment.
